2. Detangle Gently

• Apply a leave-in conditioner or hydrating detangler while wet.
• Use a wide-tooth comb or fingers, starting from the ends and working up.
• Never brush when dry, always detangle when wet and conditioned to prevent breakage.

3. Air Dry to Reveal the True Texture

• Lay the hair flat or hang it naturally to air dry completely before install.
• This helps the stylist see the true curl or wave pattern and confirm it matches the client’s texture before installing.

4. Moisture & Protection

• Before installing, apply a light hydrating serum or leave-in from mid-shaft to ends, avoid heavy oils or silicones.
• All textures benefit from weekly deep conditioning and leave-in hydration after install.
• For long-lasting results, use a silk pillowcase or bonnet at night to prevent friction and tangling.

5. Final Pre-Install Check

• Once dry and prepped, lightly trim the ends if needed.
• Confirm the pattern and color match before installing.
• This extra step prevents surprises and ensures a smooth, professional install.
